From the founding of Rome by Romulus and Remus in 753 BCE to the establishment of the Republic in 509 BCE. From the brutality of the Punic and Macedon Wars to the creation of a sophisticated transport network. Establishment of the Empire in 28 BCE to the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 CE, and the continuation of the Eastern Empire as the Byzantines till 1453.

The Romans created one of the most recognizable ancient powers and lasted for over 2,100 years till the fall of Constantinople. During this time, Rome was involved in some of the bloodiest conflicts as it expanded its influence. At the same time, it’s non-militaristic achievements helped create one of the greatest cities.

This blog will cover mostly the times of Rome, from the establishment of the City, to the fall of the Western Empire. Some posts will cover the Ancient Greeks, Macedonians and The Byzantines as well.
